Our solution integrated the three entrances into one unified lobby, creating a more customer-focused reception experience. Working with the Bank’s security and administration teams, we designed a Concierge-style guest arrival experience. The lighting design emphasised the transparency of the new enclosure, dimensioned to envelop the highly figurative structural masts. The layout not only provided a more hospitable guest arrival experience, but also accommodated the security requirements of the new structure. Working seamlessly with the original building design by Norman Foster, we added a glass enclosure to complement the building’s dramatic glass underbelly and terraced plaza floor. For the finishing touch, we created two seamless, high-resolution digital canvases to walk guests on a multimedia journey through HSBC’s impressive archives.
