Steppe Capital‘s brief to One Space demanded an open, easy-flowing and modern headquarters occupying a 1,500 sq ft unit at 6 Battery Road, to establish a sophisticated and pleasant place to work for the firm’s tightly-knit team of investment professionals.
Our space planning aims to rationalise the challenging geometry of these premises, with its imperfectly located entry point dictated by the tenancy’s location at the end of a long corridor. In response, our planning establishes a gracious arrival sequence that choreographs an unfolding journey from public space to the more private meeting and work spaces. Wide windows on two sides allowed us to not only admit ample daylight, but also to exploit the excellent views across Singapore’s cityscape and spectacular harbour-front.
