Transformation of Workplace and Customer Experience – A Sustainable “Urban Campus” in an Iconic Office Building

Occupying this site since 1969, the original AIA Building heralded the commercialisation of Wan Chai and led the trend of the Hong Kong Central Business District’s expansion eastwards. When the ambitious decision was made to redevelop the site with a new tower, designed by Arquitectonica, One Space was commissioned to design and deliver every floor above the Ground Floor. We enthusiastically embraced this one-of-a-kind opportunity to create what would become Hong Kong’s first ‘urban campus’, a sustainable headquarters that would serve AIA’s evolving business needs for decades to come.

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations were central to the establishment of this pre-certified LEED, WELL, and BEAM+ Platinum campus. The project features over 19 floors of human-centric workspaces infused with formal and informal collaboration settings, as well as thoughtfully appointed, engaging multi-activity zones throughout the tower.
