One Space Announces Raymond Chu As Design Director

One Space has appointed Raymond Chu, who joined its Hong Kong studio earlier this year, as Design Director, further strengthening its design leadership as the studio continues to expand its design capabilities and deliver human-centric environments for clients across the region.

With over two decades of multidisciplinary design experience in the built environment, Ray brings a broad portfolio of high-profile projects including some of the world’s most renowned blue-chip brands – ranging from banks, insurance and financial services to fast-moving consumer goods, fashion, technology and automotive sectors.

Born and educated in the UK, Ray excels in achieving global industry standards within local contexts, crafting environments that inspire and endure.

In his role, Ray will lead the design of One Space’s projects across the region. He will work closely with the studio’s project managers, cost managers and design team to develop robust, cost-effective and future-ready design solutions – from strategic planning and concept development through to delivery and post-handover services.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ray to the team at an important stage in our continued growth,” said Pamela Hinton, Studio Director of One Space. “Imaginative, purposeful design is at the heart of everything we do. Ray’s depth and breadth of experience, together with his multidisciplinary perspective, will be particularly valuable as we continue to evolve our design offering and create spaces that are purposeful and reflect our clients and their people.”

Good design does more than look great – it tells a story, sparks energy, and makes people feel something the moment they walk in,” Ray Chu, Design Director of One Space
