Following the success of the Hong Kong project, we were commissioned to design-led and build a refresh strategy for the Singapore office. This brand-new customer services centre at Harbourfront Place offered the opportunity to redevelop a workplace model that’s staff-centric.

Upon outlining a number of requirements and parameters, the similar “DNA” adopt the minimalist in form and material palette, this subtle and precise design draws the eye through. The brand’s expression is uncluttered and self-confident. IB’s famous “red man” pictogram is applied as a large icon on the side wall. Strategically juxtaposed adjacent to the company’s full logo behind the Reception, a sense of arrival is generated even from the public corridor, signaling the main entrance from a distance.

The meeting facilities are designed to serve multi-purpose settings of a combined training room tailored for customer-demonstration. The use of colors, finishes and lighting resembles a fin-tech atmosphere to enhance a customer-centric environment for users to immerse into the digital trading platform.

Our choice of 120 degree workdesk support more owned individual spaces amongst their teams. The dynamic arrangement suits the noisy nature of the customer service calls. There are alternative work points nearby perimeter that enjoys the stunning views of the Singapore Harbour and distance view of the iconic cable car to Sentosa Island. The bar height table in between work zones enable necessary adjacencies to touchdown. The social pantry space anchors the central floor plate with acoustic rooms by the core at each ends for the cycle of collaboration and focus.
