As part of our broader revamp of all segments’ customer-facing areas for one of Hong Kong’s largest listed banks, One Space was engaged to design the new Private Banking Client Suites and Relationship Managers’ offices, occupying an entire 10,000 sq ft floor located in the city’s Central District.

The Design Brief envisaged an entirely fresh and captivating wealth management experience for the bank’s highest-net-worth clients. The company prides itself on its professionalism and care in servicing successive generations of families and businesses, and they instructed us that the new Private Banking environment must reflect both the heritage of the brand and the future aspirations of their clients.

VIP lifts deliver guests directly to this floor, providing us the opportunity to curate a carefully choreographed sequence from arrival to greeting to engagement. A hierarchy of spaces unfolds from lift lobby to concierge to a hospitable & well-appointed lounge area, and finally to one of 14 private rooms in a variety of sizes and settings. Every step of the journey reinforces that the client comes first, with all rooms enjoying the highest levels of comfort and confidentiality.

Meeting Rooms are themed according to the Five Elements (五行) in Taoist philosophy: Fire 火, Water 水, Wood 木, Metal 金 & Earth 土. Materials were selected and arranged in a delicately balanced composition, giving each room a uniquely personalised feeling.
