BRUNEBLONDE salon at Hong Kong’s Grand Hyatt Hotel, is the brainchild of two of the region’s best known stylists.
The principal design challenge was to create an exclusive and relaxing customer setting, whilst sustaining the sometimes demanding conditions that any beauty establishment entails.
In response, we created a sumptuous “Parisian appartement” setting, reminiscent of those grand salon interiors of the 1940’s, featuring an 8m-long hand-crafted wall in highly polished copper as a centerpiece of the composition.
The women’s styling area is characterised by simple elegance on grey limestone flooring. Ample daylight on two sides of the room is complemented by custom-designed task lighting embedded within the expansive mirrors and undulating ceilings.
The men’s styling area recalls the glory of the classic barber shop, modernised to suggest a more sophisticated take on the traditional haircut experience. Deep grey leather with chrome and black detailing recalls sports cars and timepieces, infusing the room with nuances of masculinity.
The lighting of the salon has been carefully designed to achieve the perfect colour rendition and shadowless illumination, whilst generating a pleasant, restorative customer experience.
